Jason Don was raised by his father on the upper peninsula. His mother died wen he was young, and though his father was hard-working, Jason essentially grew up on his own. In high school, he was a pitcher on the baseball team, and he was a track standout in the 100m dash and the 300m hurdles, placing first in every meet. Outside of school he bagged groceries at a local market, making friends with customers and helping out any way he could.

As a young adult, Jason worked random jobs to pick up extra cash. It didn't take long for a construction superintendent to observe his hard work and positive attitude and offer him a steady construction job. One afternoon, a freak landslide occurred on the hillside above a project. As he was running toward the gate, Jason was overtaken by the landslide. Jason was overtaken by the landslide, buried under a wall of sticky mud and debris. Search and rescue crews worked for days to find him, but to no avail. Just as they were about to call off the search, Jason reappeared back on the site, a mess and disoriented, but miraculously okay. Jason knew he was lucky! He had been crushed under tremendous pressure. The landslide had covered him in a muddy, sticky green substance, and that was all he could remember.

Jason was taken to the hospital and spent months in physical therapy. During his recovery he began to notice a change. He could run faster than ever, possessed amazing regenerative powers, and could throw a baseball a great distance! He did not know, the landslide was created by his father's invention or that his father is now know as Eroder. Jason doesn't remember much of his past, but he realized that his purpose was to stop this happening to anyone else. He wanted to devote his life to erosion control.

From that day on, Jason Don was known as TARP "The Amazing Rain Protector". He alone was uniquely capable of fighting the evil Eroder! TARP could stabilize soils and cover them with proper BMPs (best management practices) and mulches in a flash! After realizing the powers he had gained, TARP joined the STORMWATER DEFENDERS as their Erosion Control Special Agent. He was given new tools by the team like Hydronades to stop erosion at the source. It takes speed and seeds to beat erosion!

CECIL - Construction Erosion Control Issues Lookout

CECIL is TARP’s aerial eyes to find erosion issues on construction projects. CECIL flies over the top of construction activity detecting areas where projects may be at risk for erosion issues. Video feeds are sent directly to TARP so he can identify BMPs that can proactively be implemented to prevent turbidity and sedimentation of our waters. CECIL’s enhanced sonar system, designed by Chito-Man, can also be used to monitor the effectiveness of erosion control measures over time. CECIL often accompanies Vax on reconnaissance missions. CECIL is critical to TARP’s ability to prevent erosion and sedimentation coming off of our landscape.
